Every HR team has numerous responsibilities.  They include recruiting, hiring, training, compensation, termination, benefits, and evaluations.  And, a company’s success is ultimately the result of the people they hire.  It’s very important to avoid mistakes that can be extremely costly for the company. Here are some ways to make sure your HR department provides strategies to benefit management, employees, and the company overall:
  1. Conduct hiring practices that include resume screening, background checks, well-written job descriptions, advertisements, postings, the interview process, and job offers.
  2. Conduct termination practices that include documentation, employee termination evaluations, avoiding litigation, exit interviews, group downsizing, and unemployment claims.
  3. Conduct evaluation processes that paint a clear picture of an employee’s personality, skills, abilities, talents, and their future within the company. Help retain top talent from direct employees before hiring new individuals.
  4. Prevent Harassment by educating managers and other employees about discrimination, including sex, race, age, gender, religion, and more.

  1. Respond to your customers.  Don’t just listen, but respond to what they have to say, every time.
  2. Listen to Social Media. The feedback is crucial, so listen and take the time to respond authentically.
  3. Let multiple employees be part of a conversation.  Allow more than one person to work on a customer’s issue, to show the customer they are really important.
  4. Promote teamwork within the company.  This is extremely important when things go wrong, so work together to make things happen.
  5. Give employees freedom.  Giving your staff freedom to provide great customer service is very gratifying for them, and they’ll actually do it too.
  6. Embrace negative feedback.  Turn the negatives into a positive whenever you can.

Ways to Achieve Business Success

While there are thousands of books written about being successful in a business, there are also thousands of topics regarding achievements in business.  Here are a list of some of the more common principles: 1 – Fearless.  Jumping into a new business venture, and leaving your day-to-day 9-5 job that provided you with a steady paycheck, is considered fearless.  Separate yourself from the crowd.  Manage your own fears and face those hurdles. 2 – Partners.  Find like-minded entrepreneurs who believe in the same mission as you. Partners can help each other move forward.  Having different sources of energy and a great team for inspiration can help you achieve business success. 3 – Attitude.  Start your business with the right attitude.  Know what’s important and develop values around what you do.  Creating wealth to help others and solve problems means you have the right attitude needed to obtain a successful business. 4 – Family.  Most of us who want to achieve success in our lives also want to share the wealth with our families.  It’s important to think about success beyond material things. Success means having a positive influence on those you call family.
